Swingfest - Day 1!

What a way to spend a birthday!

Last night, we finished getting our stuff packed so we would be good and ready for this trip that we have waited so long for, and then went to find out confirmation information for the trip. Well, our flights have been changed by the airlines about 4 times since we originally purchased the tickets about a year ago, and in looking at the last information they sent us, They have us Leaving Kansas City, stopping in Milwaukee, and then flying from Milwaukee to Ft. Lauderdale. This all looks great. However, for the trip back, they have us on a direct flight from Milwaukee to Kansas City... Umm.. how are we supposed to get to Milwaukee?

So, we call thier help line and they tell us that as it is 2 in the morning, there is no management availiable, and that the best she can do is put us on a plane flying back Sunday morning, instead of the original Monday night. This will pull 2 days out of our vacation! No way! Ok.. we will deal with this with the gate agent in the morning. So, we finially get to lay down to try and sleep at around 3 in the morning.

We get a knock on the bedroom door at around 4:30 at home from the father-in-law (who is staying at the house while we are gone so he can watch the kids) telling us that we need to get up and get going. While normally we are slow to rise, the excitement about the trip got us up and moving pretty quick! After he dropped us off, we talked to the gate agent, who was Very helpful, and within a few minutes got us setup on a different carrier's flight leaving Ft. Lauderdale only a few hours earlier then initially planned! WOOHOO! Thats one major stress off our backs!

Anyway, after a VERY long, excited plane ride, layover, plane ride, wait for luggage, wait for shuttle, we finially make it onto the shuttle. We wait a couple moments, and hear the driver ask another guy that was about to get on the shuttle where he was going... The Westin! So Aly and I pass a couple smiles back and forth as he gets on the bus, and he starts talking to us. After a few minutes of small talk, he quietly says that he is in town for a big party that people were coming from all over the country for. As soon as we looked and said, 'We know. We are going to swingfest too" he broke into a massive smile, and started talking very fast about all his plans and such. It made the ride quite a bit of fun.

As soon as the shuttle driver pulls into the parking lot, a security officer runs to the window and yells inside at the people in the shuttle, 'What are you doing here?!?' So we give him a strange look and mention that we are with the event. As soon as he hears this, he is all smiles and points the driver to where we need to be unloaded. We walk into the place, luggage in tow, thinking back to all the people we have heard saying that when they made it early, they had to wait several more hours before thier room was ready. We find the LONG registration line, and jump in the back of it so we can get signed in. After about 10 minutes or so, I look behind us and see a couple shirts that have the logo of the group we are going with, so I point them out to Aly, and we both sit for a couple minutes trying to figure out who they are, when finially they look up and us and seem to recognize us immediatly! Once we got to a corner in the line, we talked while we could and learned who they were, and that they were only a couple doors away from us. We had not even made it to our rooms yet and were becoming friends with several other couples! This is awesome!

We finially get to the event reservation, get our armbands, and free goodie bag, and make our way over to the next line so we can get our room. Thankfully, it is ready for us, and she hands the key right over. Cool!

We get in the room, unpack our stuff, making the room nice and pretty for any guests, and take a look around. This place is awesome! We have a balcony overlooking the pools and the ocean. The pools themselves are the coolest thing I have ever seen! There is one large one with gently curves that spans the witth of the resort, and it has a bridge going over it. On the bridge, and the land around it, is another large, rectangle pool. There is a glass pane in the bottom of the top pool, allowing you to see the people in the pool below, and for them to look up and see you. The water on the top pool overflows its edges into a crevice on the side, creating a cool waterfall into the pool below... Both pools of course, are salt-water, and the top one has neon lights that slowly change colors. All in all a magnificant sight!

After we got everything straightened up, we decided to start exploring the place, checking it out. No sooner then we opened our hotel room door, then we saw a large gathering of our group standing in the hall, so we decided to introduce ourselves to everyone. We had talked to most of them periodically on the groups forums and a social networking site for quite awhile, so it was good to get to meet most of them. Some of them have known each other for a long time, and have done trips together previously. We ended up wandering into another couples room for a couple minutes, with several others as well, and before we knew it, there were a couple people going down on a naked girl laying on the bed, and another girl giving a guy a blowjob next to the bed. Aly looked at each other and smiled, knowing that this was going to be an awesome trip already. However, since we had not had time to play together yet ourselves in this awesome place, we gracefully made our exit, knowing that there will be plenty of time for us to all play over the next few days. We just needed to make sure we got our time together in this magnificant getaway first.

We wandered back to our room for a few minutes to talk about what just happened before taking back off and exploring the rest of the resort. I just cant say enough just how awesome this place is!

On the way back, we met the couple that was staying in the room where the leader of our group was supposed to be staying, and they seemed to be pretty cool too.

A couple hours later we went to our groups meet-and-greet at Rivals across the street, where we participated in a gift exchange, and got to meet most of the rest of our group.. which consists entirely of VERY cool people! We are going to miss you all desperately when this is over! We gave out a pack of 10 small containers of body lube, and got back a bag that had a small cock ring, and some pasties with dials on them that worked sorta like dirty dice. Then, John from SwingerCast got up on a chair and said a few things about the trip, and how good it was to get to meet everyone, before telling us that he had made up some free Swingercast shirts, and that we could each have one.

I also grabbed a big stack of the swingercast cards, planning to put them out at some of the clubs around home. While the swingercast show is awesome, nothing compares to the group of people that we met going to this event!

We got a couple drinks, and shared some chicken wings while we were there, not planning on eating too much as Trapeze, the club we were going to later that night, was supposed to have some great food out on buffet. So we finished up here, and headed back to the hotel, needing to get ready to head out to the club.

Ally and I both got dressed up in some of the nicest stuff we brought, headed down to where we were going to meet everyone for the bus, and met up with our group. After a short wait, we all jumped on the 2 buses that were our free transportation to Trapeze. The transportation, and the admission to Trapeze were all free with our swingfest admission. This part, we had been especially looking forward to forever, as Ally had heard about Trapeze for years.

We all wait on the bus until about 20 minutes after it was supposed to have left before we started moving. The way everything sounded, this should just be a quick, 5 minute car ride! 45 minutes later, we finially pulled into the parking lot. This club does not look from the outside to be much nicer then anything we have in kansas city, but thats not suprising with the way most of these clubs are. We all get in line outside the club and wait for them to let us in.

... and wait..

Eventually I say something to Ally that with this many people standing around outside a building in this area at this time, the cops should be around any second trying to find out whats going on. Sure enough, a minute later, 2 police cars pull into the parking lot and park, just watching. Almost immediatly afterwards, someone steps out from the building and says that apparently the person from swingfest was supposed to come by with a check and pay the amount so that we could all get in, but they had never made it. He explained that we could come in, but we would have to pay him the $60 and then get reimbursed from SwingFest for it! This is something we had already paid for! After a couple more minutes, we decide that we are not doing this, since it seems the busses had stopped running as well! Last thing we want is to pay 60 to get in, and another 60 for a taxi back home afterwards. We eventually jump into a cab with 3 other couples.. its a very tight fit, and all take the long ride back to the resort. We get there and split the cost of the cab between us, making that a bit better.

Later that night, we heard that swingfest WAS reimbursing the money to those who went, and that while it was not bad there, it was way too crouded, and that there were a bunch of single males there.

We did, however, hear that they had started an impromptu party here at the hotel, so we made our way over to that. All they had was a small bar, and music playing in the ballroom, but people were still dancing and having fun, so we did that for a little while, before heading back up to our room. Once there, I stood and looked out the window for awhile before realizing there were still a couple people swimming around in the pool! It must still be open! So we got dressed real quick and ran down there to play in the water.

First we got in the bottom pool, which we found was very cold... Too cold to stay in, so we decided to check out the hot tub. The hot tub was great, and empty, so we sat in that for a good while, just relaxing in the water and talking. Eventually, we got up just as someone else was walking over, and they said the top pool was a lot warmer then the bottom one. Thanking them, we moved up to the top pool to give it a shot. It really was pretty warm! So, we jumped in there for awhile too. We ended up bouncing back and forth between the hot tub and the top pool a few times over the course of a couple hours. Standing in the top pool, I would take Ally in to my arms, and spin her around slowly, looking into her eyes and kissing her deeply.

All through this, i could periodically see people on the balconies up above looking down at us.

As we headed in, I asked a guard when they were planning on closing the pool, and he said they weren't going to. It was going to stay open through the entire event! Anyway, Ally and I headed up stairs to our room, and fell into each others arms in bed, making love before falling asleep to some MUCH needed rest.

Going to SwingFest!

I am getting SO excited about our upcoming trip!!

We have been planning this trip for a little less then a year now, and its FINIALLY almost upon us!

Then, we have another trip immediatly after to go to Club S.'s convention in the Ozarks with about 500 other couples!

Everything at Swingfest is already bought and paid for, thankfully. About a year ago, we heard of the event and thought it sounded cool, so knowing we needed a vacation this summer, decided to plan this one! It wasn't until a few months ago that we decided we needed to find a group to go with. So, after some searching, we ended up with the group for one of the biggest vendors for the show, Swingercast, with about 35 other couples. We have been talking with them on thier forums and via an internet chat/blog service for awhile now, and they are just getting us more, and more excited!

Last Friday we picked up Alys parents from the airport, as they will be staying with the kids while we are gone, and are staying with us until we leave (No, they do not know) Its funny, because Monday when Aly and I were at work her parents were picking up the house, trying to help us out. Apparently, her dad found a pair of her thong panties. lol. So, her step-mom tried to tell him that it was actually just a headband! (we are hoping it didn't get put on anyone in a demonstration. ICK!)

I will be meeting with the owner of Club S. tonight so that he can transport Aly's dance pole to thier convention in the Ozarks for us. They are such cool people to help us out like that! But we normally keep it in a locked case under the bed. It looks exactly like a gun case if you dont already know what it is. I had to sneak that out of the house and into the back of the car this morning, unsure of what I was going to say it was if they caught us! Oh well, with all the toys we have, they are bound to find something. Thats why we plan to take as many as we can with us!

Tomorrow morning at some god ugly early time, we hop on the plane, and will be landing in Ft. Lauterdale around noon, then off to the party! There are a couple things we plan to attend, including a visit to Trapeze! ( and a couple meetings with people we want to go to, but beyond that, we have NO idea what to expect.. and, while extremely excited, are just as nervous! That gets worse the closer we get though, and im sure will wear off the moment we walk into our room there.

We will fly back Monday morning, take parents back to the airport Tuesday morning, and possibly take the kids to the Theme Park in the area. Wednesday, we will be loading up the 3 kids in the car and taking them for a 6 hour drive to drop them off with my mother so we can go to the second event! This one will last us until the following Sunday!

You know, for being fairly new to this, we sure as hell jumped in heads first!

A New Outlook

Well, here I am, a couple years after I started this blog, realizing just how much crap is on this thing. So, I decided to start again as it appears I may have a bit more time to update more often.

First things first, clean out a lot of the old crap getting in the way of the important stuff. lol Ok, now that thats done, lets make a re-introduction post..

HI! I think I have this mostly figured out at this point, just need to figure out how in incorporate Audio into the posts. Both A. and I have went through some changes in our life, in our introduction to what is affectionately known as, "The Lifestyle".

For those of you who think you know what that means, Yes, you are right. For those who have no idea, We have become swingers. Regardless of any preconceptions that I, and the rest of the population may have, its really not bad, dirty, or wrong at all, and if anything, makes our marraige much stronger... While not for everyone, its worked out GREAT for us. We are getting ready for a couple really massive events that we are attending with a group, but I will come back to more details on that later.
